Kolo Mee

Alas! I found this shop tt serves kolo mee. The above is Char Siew kolo mee which looks very similar to our local wantan mee. Note, the noodle used is different. With a wriggly maggie mee like texture, it gives a complete different sensation to your tastebuds as compared to the usual wantan egg noodles. Every bite is very Q and you jus crave for more. Its served plain w/o sauce but once you add one teaspoon of chilli, you'll see the magic! It all lies in the special blachan chilli, very tasty and not too spicy. So add more chilli!

Prata

My irresisitable prata! Other than just Jalan Kayu's prata, you can find another great one right here at Haig Road's. Their pratas always have the 'Crispy on the outside and soft inside' touch. The curry is thick and rich in flavour, you cant stop dipping!

Location: Haig Road (Near Tanjong Katong Rd)
Price: $0.60 plain, $1.20 with egg
Rating: Die die must try!

Vegetarian Bee Hoon

Unlike most vegetarian beehoon i've tried, none can beat this. Most beehoon are stir fried with light soy sauce thus leaving it bland and tasteless, worst of all u gotta rely on extra gravy for taste. As for Tian Ci's, they added vegetarian oyster sauce, you'll taste the difference. Spring rolls are another favourite of mine, remains crispy even when its slightly cold. The chinese cabbages are light and tasty and not oily. Thumbs up!

Fish Soup

Hello! Happy New Year! The Makanguru is back in 2007 to bring you the best food at e best price in town! =D

Introducing Kallang Sliced Fish Soup.. actually its not located at Kallang, jus a board name. =x

All credits goes to the 'SOUP', its the heavenly taste of this soup that makes everything marvellous. Other than fresh fish meat, the soup plays an extremely impt role, else its not worth wasting your time in e queue. Added with fishhead bones (or other bones), chinese wine and flavouring makes the soup light and sweet. I personally recommend fried fish meat instead of fresh sliced fish cos its so thinly sliced that you could hardly taste anything. Upsize it to $3.00 and above for extra fish meat and you can get more veggies on request (no extra charges!)

Price: $2.50
Location: Marine Parade Hawker Centre
Rating: Very good!
